Imagination is the destination, creativity is the vehicle.
As an artist I strive to produce vibrant works that invoke curiosity and provoke emotion. Inspiration is drawn from objects, culture, natural and urban elements. Acrylic is my preferred medium for producing thematic abstractions with expressed movement, varied surface quality, depth and layering. Tools are often repurposed or created to conform to the canvas or panel. The process involves a ritual of defining a piece through visceral moments of expression, adding and removing layers in an iterative process of exploration. At times creativity is an act of self reflection, but can also be an exercise or aesthetic response to an external event. All together my works may appear ambiguous in nature but are in fact extremely rational productions. Imagination is the destination.
